UDB SUP the River!

8th July 2022

The UDB team enjoyed the sun in Devon yesterday for our summer away day!

A leisurely paddle up the River Avon followed by a swim and waterside lunch was the perfect day out of the office!

The New Stone Age; 15 Clerkenwell Close

27th May 2022

Thanks to Design West and Amin Taha for a thought-provoking talk on Groupwork's 15 Clerkenwell Close last night.

It was very interesting to hear about the design and planning process of the building, and the perceived challenges of designing with what’s now considered an ‘unconventional’ building material in the modern day.

Looking forward: with climate change and embodied carbon being an essential consideration within the construction industry, will we be seeing stone in place of concrete and steel more often?

And locally to us in Bristol, it will be exciting to see plans develop for Groupwork’s carbon-negative scheme at the heart of the city at Castle Park.
